Queensland Training Awards 2019
The prestigious 2019 Queensland Training Awards North Queensland Regional Final, in its 58th year was celebrated in Townsville on Friday 12 July 2019 at the Ville Resort – Casino, Pavilion function centre.
The Queensland Training Awards continue to showcase and highlight the significant contribution made by Queensland’s Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector to our Queensland community and economy.
Across 14 categories, the awards recognise individuals and organisations that strive for and have achieved success, best practice and innovation with categories for apprentices, trainees, vocational students, teachers and trainers, as well as training providers and employers.
Eleven award categories are initially contested across seven regional areas – Tropical North Queensland, North Queensland, Central Queensland, Darling Downs South West, North Coast, Metropolitan and South East. Regional winners are automatically selected as state finalists and compete against other regional winners for a coveted Queensland Training Award. State winners in aligned categories are given the opportunity to compete for national honours at the Australian Training Awards.
The success of the North Queensland regional final was celebrated amongst sponsors, finalists, winners, their families, vocational education and training stakeholders. With a record number of guests in attendance, the night was one to be remembered, cheering on the amazing commitment and talent North Queensland has to offer.
