A Quality and Local Employee Assistance Program
Healthy workplaces promote good mental health and wellbeing. They are positive and productive and get the best out of everyone in the workplace. Businesses that care about good mental health and wellbeing attract and keep top talent because they’re great places to work.
Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) are designed to provide support for employees to assist them managing workplace relationships and work matters in a constructive way. They provide support to navigate life’s issues and increase coping and resilience and reduce the potential impact on the workplace if such matters aren’t managed effectively.
Centacare’s ACCESS Programs NQ is linked with the National ACCESS Network and can provide national coverage while offering a quality, local service. Our EAP services focus on building the skills and capabilities of all employees from frontline workers through to executives to be more effective in managing personal and workplace relationships, develop leadership, conflict resolution skills and more. We support employers and employees to take a proactive approach to problem solving by providing services such as counselling, educational workshops, mediation, corporate coaching and crisis intervention to staff and their families.
ACCESS Programs NQ provides counselling for a variety of problems affecting employees. It may include help with confronting personal problems such as:
• Relationships and parenting issues
• Workplace conflict and team building
• Leadership coaching
• Drug and alcohol issues
• Parenting skills
• Bereavement
Having resources such as an EAP to support employees in times of need demonstrates the organisation’s commitment to supporting the health and wellbeing of employees both in the workplace and their personal lives. It is an investment in the wellbeing of individuals, families and the broader community.
